Putting labour market information into the hands of everyone in Durham Region is an ongoing challenge. The Durham Workforce Authority takes on many projects annually and reports to the community, the board of directors and the funder. The DWA conducts research of employers’ labour requirements to gain insight into occupational and skill needs; facilitates local planning to implement joint actions to address local labour-market gaps; and develops partnership projects that respond to local labour-market challenges.
