The Beaver River runs straight through the heart of our township, and demonstrates the connection between our three largest communities. Originating in Scugog, the Beaver River travels north and eventually enters Brock Township. Once inside our township the river then runs between Sunderland, Cannington and Beaverton, alongside the Beaver River Trail. The Beaver River is an important natural feature of our township and can provide wonderful scenery to explore. The river is also a great place to go fishing and canoeing. In addition, the Beaver River serves as an important ecosystem for wildlife in our township, and can provide a great opportunity for animal sightings, bird watching and photography. So go on out and experience a piece of nature that connects you with your neighbours, the Beaver River.
